Ortega
Akanji Stones Dias Ake
Gundo
Savinho Foden Grealish Doku
Haaland

Grealish has impressed me when he’s played centrally for England. Don’t see why he couldn’t do it for us?

Wouldn't be surprised if all of Gvardiol, Grealish, KDB, Doku and Savinho started this one. 6 changes from Liverpool.

Ederson

Walker/Akanji
Dias
Ake
Gvardiol

Gundo
Grealish
KDB

Savinho
Haaland
Doku

I thought Ortega was pretty good against Liverpool and deserve to keep his place

Please no Ilkay or Lewis in midfield. Interesting to see Jack come on in centre mid, hope he plays there on Weds
I thought both Ilkay & Rico were better yesterday but it could be time for a break for Ilkay. Jack looked comfy in midfield

Time for KdB to actually START a game, he has been eased back over the past few games.
Big worry this. It is not as if he is coming back from a Rodri type injury and needs to be brought back gradually. At this stage he should be back in the centre of things. Strangely he looks to be still miles off the pace and not ready to start.
Wednesday is a crucial game for very many reasons but primarily confidence building. We need to get our belief back and quickly. A win won't solve our problems, but it may stop them getting worse.
Some small signs of improvement yesterday but we never really looked like scoring and a trademark fuck up, when we looked like we might, finished our involvement in the contest. I am edging towards a draw against Forest but hope we get the 3 points and the lineup will be interesting to say the least.

I am not ashamed to say that I was one of those who were jubilant when Gundo was brought “home”. But I always presumed that he would now be in the role of a steady-the-ship type player, brought on in maybe the last thirty, last twenty minutes. It seemed obvious to me. I never saw him playing ninety-minute games, certainly not against the likes of full-on dippers (I know, he didn't play the full ninety minutes yesterday).
