We don't have an alternative for Haaland, unlike Ederson.

I said about a week ago that I thought ederson was playing well individually but he’s always been pretty bad at 1v1s and that’s what we’re facing all the time without Rodri slowing opposition attacks down.

So I suspect Ortega coming in was more that Ederson gave Pep and the management an excuse to make the change rather than it being about his personal level.

Eddie is also one of the established stars of the side and if Pep wanted to send a message when there’s other players he’d like to drop but can’t because we simply don’t have the number of players available, he’s the most replaceable.

I’m sure he’ll be fine and bounce back and Ortegas plenty good enough.

I really hope so. It's been frustrating seeing us putting out bang average midfields in recent games, whilst we have perhaps the best creative midfielder in the world on the bench. I know he's not been fully fit, but surely now it is worth risking him with the team at rock bottom.
