It is quite a sad reflection of just how poor we are at the moment that 10 players haven’t even got 6 % between them. It’s not even like Khusanov was outstanding either. We had hardly any pressure on us all game. He did what he did very well and was head and shoulders the best player but that is such a disappointment. I actually thought Dias was the next best too which is tragic against a team who weren’t even attacking much.
We have absolutely fallen off a cliff. I thought we would win today after a week off. Sadly this team is completely done.
Why did Pep took Gonzalez off??? He was our best player along with Khusanov..
He's actually a 'mini Rodri', Forest could barely attack when he was on. After he was subbed, they started attacking like there's no tomorrow. Until Rodri returns, he is the spine of our midfield.
Has anyone ever tried counting how many Khusanov's are actually on the pitch at any one time? I can't recall any player, let alone a CB, who seems to be literally everywhere at the same time.
He only joined in January and after his first ten minutes looked like he'd be leaving before the end of the window, let alone the summer. He's now looking to be a shoe-in for player of the season.
Khusanov was excellent from start to finish, and in general, until we reached the Forest penalty area, we played quite well ..... but Gvardiol and Ederson, and maybe even Doku, just didn't do enough to prevent their late winning goal.
