Nottingham Forest Thread | 2025/26 | Dyche appointed as manager

Shows a lot of ambition by Forest to employ Dyche.

Ha ha ha ha.
Thing is he will probably keep them up and thats there main aim now ............honestly fooking hate these owners that think they know best honestly how many times has it ever worked out for the best when an owner gets involved ????
We had it 25 years ago the clueless twat signing players on thinking that staying in the PL by the skin of our teeth was the gateway to the CL ........utter madness

Having started 1 game, and played 117 minutes, he'll soon be on his 3rd manager, I'm sure he was already regretting the move.
I can’t imagine Dyche using him much either. McAtee’s skillset isn’t really used in Dyche’s 4-4-2 get it in the mixer ball.

Problem for McAtee is that he’s not proved himself good enough to start in a good footballing team anywhere in the PL.

If I were him, I’d be trying to get to a German or Spanish club.

Still mental what they did to Nuno given how well they were doing.

Ange now gone, Mancini says no and Dyche looks nailed on now.

didnt they start losing streak in march ?
their fans get all they deserve
They started reverting back to where the stats suggested they should be but not significantly, they were massively exceeding expected points at one point. I know that means nothing but it's usually an indicator of performances.

Since March:
Beat Ipswich in the FA Cup 5th Round.
Beat City (H) 1-0.
Beat Ipswich (A) 4-2.
Beat Brighton in the FA Cup Quarter Final.
Beat United (H) 1-0.
Lost to Villa (A) 2-1.
Lost to Everton (H) 1-0.
Beat Spurs (A) 2-1.
Lost to City in the FA Cup Semi Final.
Drew to Palace (A) 1-1.
Drew to Leicester (H) 2-2.
Beat West Ham (A) 2-1.
Lost to Chelsea (H) 1-0

Played 10 league games 5 wins, 2 draws, 3 losses. It wasnt that bad. That's 64.6 point form and they finished on 65 points.

This season he'd:
Beat Brentford (H) 3-1.
Drew to Palace (A) 1-1.
Lost to West Ham (H) 3-0.

The West Ham result is bad but his job already felt risky at that point. It also was just a complete meltdown in the last 5 minutes.

Like I said just felt mad to sack him 3 games in, if they weren't agreeing on signings then just sack him in the summer and find someone who agrees.

From Nuno to Dyche via Ange in the space of about a month.

You'd think they were shooting themselves in the foot on purpose.
