Lived there at uni last year.

Only really went out to clubs at night (Crisis, EQ, Ocean etc.) and as the ones I know are full of students you won't want to go there.

There are a couple of places to go and the football might be on, not live of course, but maybe Soccer Saturday, try Walkabout, Market Bar, The Square, Hog Head. I lived slightly outside the city so never really went to any of these places apart from once for the CC semi away. Met a load of City fans in one of place started singing Blue Moon so loud people outside could here, funny as.

There is a place outside the city called 'The Happy Return', used to go with the darts team, run by some Jamaicans last time I was there. They could possibly put on the match for you, if they've discovered how to link the internet to the TV yet, it's normally quite quiet in there.

My mate lives in Beeston so down there a few times a year. Decent places are Tantra (bit pricey though) and the Cookie Club which plays indie music.

Best to start off in any of the Wetherspoon's and get into the swing of things ;)

Tantra has been given a final warning due to fighting, Cookie club is excellent. As is Rock City on Talbot street and the tap and tumbler on goldsmith street.

Not really got anywhere in mind as to where I end up, probably won't be Rock City tho, went in there a few years back and don't think it's my birds thing!!

St James street in the center? I'm staying at the Park Inn so pretty central!! (£32 for 2 nights at a decent city center hotel - my job does have it's perks).

All you can eat chicken wings on a Monday for only £10 and it does have the football on.

im off down this weekend aswell for my mates birthday, getting there on saturdya round 12.30pm, droppping stuff off then going to hooters for me dinner, then going to a casino and then hoping to find out that the stat of more lasses than lads is true

Not at weekends as we get lads coming from all over the country after them.
