Nottm Forest (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Not to mention Dyche’s gesticulating on the sidelines and in the 4th Official’s ear all game, but PEP gets the yellow!!

Hard to understand how there was a VAR RED CARD REVIEW for the studs up on Foden’s knee, yet the ref didn’t even give a yellow????

How does that even happen? It might have been bad enough for a red, but not bad enough for a yellow?! Foden even showed the ref where he was caught just above the knee!!

And, as the ball is on the air, Jesus looks away from it at Dias, then runs and jumps into him, goes down as if both assaulted and hit in the face! Ref buys the bullshit, Dias complains that it’s every time and gets a yellow for dissent! However, later on, Dias is looking at the ball coming over his head while he’s running back towards his own goal, Jesus runs across his path to elicit contact, then goes down waving an imaginary red card???

And, that just THREE incidents Jesus was involved in that didn’t get him ANY yellow cards or even a talking to!!

It’s a fucking joke!

It appears patently obvious that refs look at games against City as “the opposition doesn’t have much chance here, so let me try to level the playing field a little…!”

I made a comment in the match thread after 2 minutes saying how that Jesus up front for them was already doing my head in with his diving and moaning at the ref… 2 minutes!

All their players were diving all game.

I can see why Forest fans would think the ref had a poor game: Nico was going round fouling a lot in the first half and Gvardiol kicked the ball away and neither got booked. And any set of fans would be baying for a second booking with the Dias situation even if they’re wrong about it, that’s just the nature of football fans and we’d want an opposition player to get a second booking there. But they’re completely ignoring everything they did in the game that the ref let them get away with.

That Jesus could easily have been booked for multiple dives, booked for giving it the ‘book him’ action at the ref and booked for the foul on Foden (wasn’t enough force for a red but it was high and reckless so should have been a yellow). Anderson gave the ref a little petulant push in the back after just getting his booking for a foul which could easily have been another booking in itself, maybe even a straight red. Gibbs-White for our winner was pathetic and should have been booked for simulation and his running after the ref like a little gimp after it when he’s not the captain and shouldn’t be approaching the ref at all could also have been a booking.

Both teams have legitimate gripes with the ref from that game but both teams should understand he was bobbins for both teams.

I always think fans are going to have huge biases and blinkered outlooks when it comes to referee decisions, but for their actual club itself to show that shows what a pathetic organisation Forest are. Typical Redshirts.

Does anyone know what sequence or minute Igor Jesus waved the imaginary card, studded Fodens knee and collided with Dias? Just wondering whether Jesus or Dias would have been sent off first if the referee was stricter.
He also could have been booked for simulation aka diving. Ref had multiple opportunities to have booked him, take it Forest aren't whinging about his failure to do so. VAR should be released for the shove on the ref and studs to Foden's knee. Surely not taking action after being shoved by a freshly booked player meets the threshold for VAR intervention.

One of the contradictions of VAR
The ref doesn’t see it or makes a mistake
VAR see the possibility of a foul which is a possible red card offence so they review it and either recommend a review or not They can’t recommend a review for a yellow card

They’d better not end up insisting this is replayed. There are wrong decisions in every game, they need to man up and deal with it.

The sooner Dych, his antics and outdated version of football disappear forever will be a great day. Of course the media hacks love old Shaun. Gruff voice, shaved head, goatee beard and playing the hard done to little club against mighty megabucks City. The man's a **** snd so are the media who lap his bollocks up.

I was hoping that Everton was the last gig for the Little Englander. Mercifully Marinakis has no mercy and his reign should be relatively short.

It's the never-ending narrative being pushed that we're somehow getting away with it and always getting the benefit of decisions. The Premier League should warn Dyche about his post-match comments and consider charging him with bringing the game into disrepute. Sick of the moaning fucker who is blind to all the decisions that went in his side's favour.
