November Player of the Month

The fact that people are suggesting Clichy, Nasty and Zab bodes well for our defence and with VK coming back to form, it would be nice to put those early season defensive "Jitters" behind us. I put jitters in quotes because despite the perceived frailties, we've conceded less than anyone.

I think Zab might edge it because of the differing roles he's had to undertake whilst the others have done well, but in their recognised positions.

Special mention for Silva but I think one of the aforementioned defenders deserves it for this month.

I just hope that Carlos, Edin or Sergio are being touted as December's winner as that will mean we've been scoring more which is the main concern at the moment.
 
Could believe what Ray Wilikns said about our man Nasty before the Chelsea game.... Saying he had been out of his depth... WTF

I was thinking this a while back as no-one has won it two months on the bounce on here since I joined, as far as I'm aware.

I think to win it a second consecutive month your performances in the second month have to be palpably better than the rest of the team, otherwise I reckon there's a subconscious sense of 'let someone else have a go'.

Teams that are near the top of the league, by definition, don't, or rather can't just have one or two players who are doing better than the rest, carrying the team. Teams that are struggling invariably do, which is why Richard Dunne won as many back to back Player of the Year awards as he did.

We have too many top players for anyone to stand out for too long imo. Happy days.

Pab Zab gets my vote as things stand btw.

How great is it that despite those defensive jitters, we have the fewest goals conceded in the league. Superb.
