Roberto Mancini should shoulder some of the blame for his bust-up with Carlos Tevez, according to the striker's advisor Kia Joorabchian.

Tevez is facing a bleak future with Manchester City having been suspended by the Premier League club while an investigation is carried out into his alleged refusal to leave the bench during the UEFA Champions League defeat away to Bayern Munich.
Mancini, speaking in the immediate aftermath of the 2-0 defeat, claimed the Argentina international was 'finished' under his tenure.

But Joorabchian, who also claimed his client's post-match interview was mistranslated, believes other managers would have handled the situation differently, pointing to the summer transfer sagas of Cesc Fabregas, Luka Modric and Samir Nasri as examples.

Very direct

Speaking at the Leaders in Football conference in London, Joorabchian said: "Throughout the summer players were handing in transfer requests, refused to travel, refused to play.

"Roberto has his style of management. He is very direct and totally different to, let's say, Sir Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger. I think every manager handles those situations differently."

"I think that is a problem in general. I think we have seen Fabregas, Modric, Nasri, the list goes on, but they are high-profile names.

"My opinion is that they refused to play. But they refused to play in a different way. It was handled in a different way.

"Those managers handled it very differently. And the clubs. The Carlos situation has been handled in a different manner.

"Roberto has his style of management. He is very direct and totally different to, let's say, Sir Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger. I think every manager handles those situations differently.

"Carlos and Roberto Mancini now have to live with the manner with which it has been handled."

Personal relationship

Despite all that has been said over the issue, Joorabchian believes that Tevez could still have a future at Manchester City under Mancini.

The former West Ham and Manchester United striker handed in a transfer request over the summer citing homesickness, but a possible move back to South America with Corinthians failed to materialise.

"This is something for the two of them to work out," he added.

"This is a personal relationship between two people. We have seen this happen all through the summer."

He's lost the plot if he thinks the PR war is best served by trying to turn people against Mancini. Interesting that he cites Baconface as being one who would handle it differently...especially when there is a link in the same story which says 'Fergie backs Mancini stance'!!! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11679_7212979,00+en-USS_01DBC.html

He thinks Tevez could still play a part under Mancini...which part of 'finished' did he not understand?

Which one is it Kia.....

Tevez did not refuse to play

Or Tevez did refuse but just did it in a different way to the people who you have stated above.

Fucking Bellend.

Apart from his problem of being fucked with City, this turd really is struggling with the professionalism and silence City are showing, squirm you prick

Interesting that he seems to be changing tac and using the excuse that others do it.
This says to me he knows Tevez is bang to rights and is trying to shift some of the blame on Mancinis style of management.

Typical smokescreen technique. Blame everybody and everything, throw a lot a red herrings and explanations out there and hope people start to believe them. Prblem is however City are staying silent which is making Kia talk more and more to try and defend the indifensible! Squirm you little shit

Err, is it just me or does Kia admit that Tevez refused to play within that interview? And the reason it was handled in a different way was because Tevez did it in the middle of a match, and a very important one at that.
