I think 5th will actually be really tight, what with 'Pool and Everton greatly improving their Squads

A good question but there is a follow up.
If MP gets us through to the CL knock out, will there be any further acquisitions? It's early days for him in the job and the general moaning about players and positions may actually be surpassed and so become irrelevant come January.
I'd be happy with top three in MP's first season. Chelsea will give it a good go under Jose. To me, Rags, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool are all too erratic although dangerous on their respective days. The rest, even Everton, are falling even further behind.
The extra TV money is just enforcing status. So much for FFP, eh?

Don't buy all this bullshit that Ozil signing for Arsenal somehow makes them title contenders, they've never struggled for creativity since they last won something 8 years ago, it's everywhere else on the pitch that they've struggled and will continue to do so. They'll continue to beat the small teams but struggle against the top 6.
The scum have the poorest starting 11 of the top 6 and their squad is overloaded with similar players. Now fergie has gone they should be finishing closer to where that team on paper deserves to be. Only worry is, now they've got Fellaini they will complete the transformation into Everton MK II and start grinding out results through relentless route 1 hoofs into the box.
