Nuclear War with Stalin

So...
It was a way to keep the Soviet Union in it's box and allow the western allies to demobilise. Eminently sensible to me.
 
When you look at the world now, I wonder how things would have panned out if Britain had come to an agreement with Germany, Germany had defeated Russia as they had no western front to defend and Japan had not dragged the US into the war.

I sometimes go to a fishing lodge in the Aleutians and whenever we leave we have to board the place up like Fort Knox, A bear got in there years before and pretty much destroyed the place from inside, ate the couch

They were going to kill millions of Russians who had just defeated Hitler to get Stalin?A fucking sniper would have done.

The Russians defeated Germany, they were always going to invade them as their opposite ideology. Luckily they were handed their arse as were Japan. The world would be a total disaster if those two regimes had won. Fascists apart, most would be fucked. Me certainly, so seeing the nazi bastards crushed suited me fine.

The ideology wasn't really so much opposite other than the Nazi's were Narional Socialist and the USSR was more traditional world wide socialist. Many of their ideals, apart from the Germans strong nationalism and the whole racial superiority thing were quite similar.

The traditional socialists often would try to "convert" Nazi's in the early days of the Nazi party. Their motto was "First brown then red."
