They were going to kill millions of Russians who had just defeated Hitler to get Stalin?A fucking sniper would have done.

How did they even know that putin any one else in would be any different? ;)

Dropping a nuclear bomb on a civilian population is inhumane beyond words and should never be done again.

When you look at the world now, I wonder how things would have panned out if Britain had come to an agreement with Germany, Germany had defeated Russia as they had no western front to defend and Japan had not dragged the US into the war.

Would have been tricky because the Soviets wouldn't have given up. Japan and the US were almost guaranteed to fight anyway, it was a question of who punched first.
