I was a little worried that we might not have progressed that much from last year, we only had three new names in the team, but then you realise they are effectively a new spine for the team.
Adebayor sharp, agile, worked extremely hard. Barry did absolutely everything and held the team together in the first half. Toure was also very good, and brought a calmness and organisation to the defence, as well as some excellent clearances and tackles.
The best thing of all was the improvement and reorganisation that we showed in the second half. The players took control of the shape and pattern of play, and shut blackburn out of the game. Not a perfect performance, by any means, but very promising indeed.
