Official Brum v City Thread

Mission accomplished for Hughes as he got the draw at Birmingham that he clearly wanted. Let's hope when Robinho comes back we will see some more flair and creativity.

SWP really needs to work on his end product and I would be tempted to start Weiss for the next game.

Overall a rather big disappointment, getting concerned with Sky bleating on about Hughes staff were saying we had done better than expected, as people surely strive for improvement.

3 points dropped here

3 points dropped V Fulham

this is ridiculous

with the amount of money and quality of players at the helm we should be beating teams lkike brim. no disrespect but f**k me. if villa did it with ave players..... our team should be spanking Birm

Plus point from the game: Santa Cruz gaining match fitness.

3 points dropped against Wigan and Villa too.

You could argue 2 points dropped but as we drew both games it's be hard to argue 3 points dropped.

That was utterly useless a display like that makes me despair we will ever get it right. I have yet to see a decent game now for ages something must be done to make them realise how we all feel. Top 4 we are kidding ourselves and what will Hughes say again something like 'they made it very hard for us' what are they supposed to do lie down and let us walk all over them, absolute rubbish.

Given MoM, Tevez shouldn't be allowed to shoot on the goal outside the box

THIS.

How many promising build-ups has he ruined this season with really speculative shots? I love his work-rate, but like Sturridge, he needs to learn that there are times to shoot and times to pass or dribble.

Absolutely shit performance -.-
We should really give that weiss a try, he would do much better than what we have now playing week in week out!
Given MoM Best keeper in prem

Hughes always pay too much respect for a shit team like this. With more than 200 million pounds squad, we should do a lot better than this.

Wrighty had a good game, Zabaleta proved he is the right back, Bridge also played well and Given saved us. The rest, well some ran hard, some worked hard but this 120 mile an hour boot it up at any cost will not make us a top 4 team.

Keep it on the floor and use our supposed class. Seemed like a Sunday morning run about after a heavy pissup.

I can't beleive all the flappers.... good grief. That point takes us to 4th in the table with a game in hand over our rivals!!! BE HAPPY!!!!

WE'VE DRAWN TO BIRMINGHAM CITY, WE SHOULD BE KILLING TEAMS LIKE THIS WITH EVERYTHING WE'VE SPENT

I think we have an England-like situation in midfield. Ireland and Barry can't play well together much like Lampard an Gerrard. Like someone has said Barry looked tired, so Ireland MUST play. If not, then 433 is the much needed formation and give Sweep a rest. Tevez out wide right, Santa/Ade in the middle and Bellers/Petrov on the left. Midfield should have Ireland behind the CF and Barry and DeJong putting in the tackles. We have too good a squad to be playing shit football like today. Its ridiculous.

Performances of late are nowhere near good enough for where we want to be but just take a step back and look at where we are. Top 4 start of November with a game in hand and we have played 6 games away compared to the 4 at home. We are in the Quarter finals of a cup competition. I have to admit i'm frustrated at where we could have been but the facts are we have only been beaten once and we are in 4th position.

We havn't gelled yet and had a settled team. This is the start of our journey, patience is required. A win next week and avoid defeat against Liverpool happy days.

Look where we have been in the past. These are great days now. Stop the negativity!!!!

Shite again. Results go for us again and we dont beat a team that will be fighting relegation at the end of the season. Are we looking better than last year? Minimally maybe but no where near good enough. Pisses me off that we arent even good to watch.
