No disgrace losing away 1-0 to Chelsea.

I'm sorry but I hate hearing that. Losers attitude.

Dunne immense again today. Ned ran him close.

Absolutely spot on with all you say Bert!

We did not play well FACT although the defenders were pretty good especially Neds and Dunne. But in midfield we pretty non existent. Players we would like to think are high quality were basically overrun by a far far stronger unit.

If we had De Jong and Kompany it would have helped a lot and also if we had Bellamy to give a threat behind it would also have helped a lot. For me at the start of the game I thought Elano started quite well but he faded in the first half badly and was non existent in the second which is why he was taken off. It's ok to have a poor game ( I think Ireland did ) but if you are not really trying and getting back into good defensive positions then you have to go.Robinho also was weak today and did not handle the agression of the Chelsea defending.

Chelsea were able to go for counter attacking football which suits them perfectly and they also recognised that every time a ball was played up to our attacking players they simply attacked the ball and 95% of the time win the ball

At last some reasoned thought!

You do get some if you wait for 1/2 an hour after the game.............all the hysterical Hughes out brigade ( and i mean the ones who sit there just waiting for us to lose so they can post) have gone back to fifa 09 by then to see who we should sign next ;)

i think we are doing well without the big 3

Ballamy , kampany and the other guy

lmao

why you laughing???

we are missing all middlefield to other team

at least with kampany and the other guy we would do something better and might win the game!!!!!!

are you some kind of WUM, taking the piss, or are you being genuine?

also worst performance, had to be against pompey away surely?

I don’t really have any complaints; with a team with no injuries in it, it is a difficult place to visit at the best of times.

So with a few decent players missing it was always going to be hard one for us

This was as bigger mismatch than Khan v Barrera

So I am taking the positives from it, it could have been 5 or 6 but it was only 1-0 pretty respectable result all said and done.

My patience with Robinho and his limping around and crying is wearing thin though, we might as well be playing with 10 men away from home, he gives us nothing, his passing his shit, his tracking back is shit, he cant tackle and his attitude sucks big time, I don’t know how long MH is going to take to get the message that Robinho is useless on our travels.

I would also like to see Ched get the nod over big Phil he is much better.

Nice to seethe Boj back though.

Looking forward to Thursday, lets all chill out it was only 1-0 in the end

same old moan from me

do elano and robinho give a fuck ?and why does he persist in playing them

elano was trying all game to make things happen.......this persecution of elano by some on here is absolutely ridiculous........he is being asked to play a loy more defesively than he really should....tackling and tracking back just isnt part of his game....he isnt athletic enough (like essien is)

rohbnio was so isolated all game......he had no chance.........there are others who had little to no affect on the game as well........swp for one, ireland is another.......players have off days but maybe you should look to the fact that we were missing kompany, and de jong.........who provide a stable platform for the other fair players to play........

we were also playing a full strength chelsea team incuding the likes of drogba, essien, ballack terry carvalhio cole........possibly the strongest line up they could field ...........it has taken them time to build that squad.........players like elano and robinho are part of a squad that is a work in progress (and missing 3 parts of that in kompany de jong and bellamy (who would have given terry and carvaliho a lot less time on the ball)

its funny that people who clearly dont want the likes of robinho and elano in the team convineintly miss things like robinho tracking back (even at the start of the second hal).....also the fact that he had taken a knock on the ankle..........or the fact that elano put numerous challenges in before getting subbed even though he was runnign the risk of a second yellow card and being sent off........but people ignore these facts as it doesnt fit their arguement

we lost but we werent completely over shadowed.........we do lack in the attacking department (especiallly in the cenrre forward position) to put teams on the back foot......but this will hopefully at some point be addressed

The commentators never miss an opportunity to trot out another negative fact about us. Pisses me off no end.

Me too but today we can have no complaints. Worst we've played for a long time.

Are you serious? We were bad, but nothing like Stoke or Portsmouth IMO.

agree. Chelsea are actually a quality team, unlike Stoke or Porstmouth ffs.

that said my attempt to actually watch it met with considerable difficulty as the streams were crap (and my building took away the fucking cable, the cheap bastards).

just for a bit of fun heres my ratings

given 6.5 protected well and made a couple of good saves
richards 4 was never in his right back position and poor going forward anyway
bridge 7 thought it was his best game for city
dunne 7 also his best game this season
onuoha 8 man of the match
zabaletta 6.5 good game one lapse cost us the game
swp 4 disapeared
elano 6 shouldn't have been taken off on player that looked like making a chance
robinho 5 poor away game again
ireland 4 disapeared
ciecado 5 not ready to lead the line on his own

evans 5 not prem quality
etuhu 4 as above
bojinov 6 more shots on target in ten mins than the rest in 80 mins (can not wait untill he is fit)

Chelsea were first to every ball, our players were guilty of waiting for the ball far too often. On the evidence of that I would say Chelsea are a bulldozer of a side, they have skill but they tend to outfight the opposition as well, a bit like the Germans in days of old. We'd have been a better match with De Jong and Kompany giving our more creative players a platform from which to build attacks.

agree with this (from what i saw when the feed wasn't stalled).

although that outfighting the opposition seemed to be somewhat absent this year until Hiddink showed up (and *every* team Hiddink has managed has tended to fight like that).

we could have been better... but we were really up against it, people spitting the dummy about how hopeless we are based on this need to up their meds. a lot.
