Apart from The Star all the press reports are kind to MCFC saying we are taking a back seat whilst Barca & Eto'o sort it out
I don't understand why some of the press though refer to the stumbling block as a 'signing on' fee when it is clearly the 'payoff' of the last 12 months of his contract which he is entitled to having not asked for a transfer. If he moves at Barca's behest they have to pay him off. The offer of a 2 year extension to his contract is a smokescreen to indicate to Barca fans that they are trying to keep him but seeing that he turned this same offer down several months ago why now do they think he will accept it.
He is totally in a no lose situation and Barca will have to come round OR their summer plans go down the pan!
I believe it is only a matter of time before he joins MCFC unless another club hijack the deal........unlikely in view of his wage!
