The Mail are reporting ( so it must be true!!! :) ) that Eto'o had a meeting with Barca yesterday and officialy turned down the 2 year extension and effectivly quit. So the mail are correct and the deadline is correct then it's been a very shrewd targetted deadline by City.

It's pathetic it really is. You wouldn't even know that we were in for him if Laporta hadn't opened his fat mouth, so why do you go off made up paper reports and then create a bad opinion of Eto'o from them?
Eto'o will not go to Milan, he doesn't get on with Ronaldinho, and Utd won't break the bank for a 28 year old.
Stop flapping and let City sort the deal out in good time, this is the biggest transfer in our history, it won't take a couple of days to sort out

Also Barca have already said he is "AwoL" they cant get in contact with him they have been trying for 2 weeks. Their players must be back for pre season training by now ? So effctively he is on strike ?
Whatever happens surely he cant play for them again after all that has gone on ?

good post ADJ, what i would add though is that getting one of our four main targets signed would alleviate some of the hysteria - it is the fact that our four main targets are so well defined that is causing all the stress, all of them taking time to be announced.

also as of last week Milan had only sold FOUR HUNDRED season tickets for next season so this means (1) they have no dosh or (2) they need to find a way of selling some season tickets??yorkieblue said:Milan are going for fabiano

I believe City are off to Africa next Wednesday!
Surely we would like our major transfer targets, especially Eto'o, on the plane befrore we leave!
Also wont these chaps need jabs or something before they go!
Need to speed things up or are they already signed readu for the big new kit unveiling!
