Official City v Fulham thread

The positives are that we got a point away against a team that has lost only one game at home, and we did it with at least three of our first team regulars out.

The negative is that our consistency is proving to be very worrying. What the reason for that could be one of many.

Arrrggghhhh I wish people would stop banging on about how good Fulham are at home. It means naff all, you don't play a team on their previous form you play the team that is there on the day and they were crap. The win was there for us but we just couldn't take it. Against a better team we would have lost today.

Fulham were there for the taking and we didn't get the job done.
A point away from home is normally alright but not when the opposition are as dire as Fulham were.
What gets me is Hughes bought Bentley and used him effectively on the right of midfield.
He has SWP who is better than Bentley in that position and plays him in the middle, it just doesn't make sense.

If Mark Hughes buys Prem shite like Warnock and Santa Cruz in January he can fuck right off and go find himself another job
You are a complete asshole. With the limited resources available, I was well pleased with a battling 1-1 draw at the place where Spurs were beaten at the peak of their form. Warnock and Santa Cruz would strengthen our squad nicely, although Diarra would be more suitable. I said ages ago that we should have signed Stephen Appiah on a free. His aggression in midfield is what we lack right now especially as Superman is getting tired. Hopefully Gelson and Johnson will soon be back.

Damn!1 I must have missed the last couple of minutes where all our players started playing well and Didi got a hat-trick to take his score up to 8.

Maybe Hamann shouldn't have got an 8 but he was probably our best midfield today, yeah he might not just play it simple all game, but that's what he does well.

Here's my new ratings for the Hughes out crew:

Hart - 4
Zabaleta - 3
Ben-Haim - 2
Dunne - -5
Ball - -15
Vassell - 0
Hamann - -10
SWP - 4
Kompany - 4
Ireland - 4
Benjani - 1
Evans - 0

nah, I'm still in the Hughes in camp but I disagree with you regarding hammann. But I dont mean to say your opinion is wrong, mine is just different.
I thought Zab was our best player with mentions for Hart and Dunne although thats not to say they were particularly good.

Haha fair enough pal, I just think though sometimes on this site people find a player they don't like and when they do have a fair game they don't want to be proved wrong so still call them shit, I'm not saying that's what you've done but it does happen a lot on this site. I usually call Ben-Haim shit, but I think it was one of his better games today bar his passing.

Don't think we were that bad today. Obviously I was looking for 3 points before the game, but they have a very good home record and I thought we shaded it.

im sorry but mh has not got a clue we got away with a draw today .he brought 4 injured players to fulham today and they all pulled out this morning we had logan, onhua, caceido, evans, berti,jo on the bench.we must have the shitest kids in the country because where is another centre midfielder in this squad surley we have some
midfielders ibet jim cassel wants to call it a day because under these circumstances players who have played in certain positions since the age of eight would do a better job than somebody who as never played in middfield or left wing etc before im not 100% behind this experince bull shit.haman is experienced but what does he do.mh before the game said and it was the first thing out of his mouth weve got 12 seniors out and it was the first thing out of his mouth after the game so what use your youngsters use your reserves but dont go into a game with this attitude before a game fulham are nothing our kids would beat them

Who's the twelve injured player?

Sturridge, Robinho, Richards, Garrido, Elano, Petrov, Johnson, Bojinov, Etuhu, Mills, Fernandes and ?

Just got back to Brighton after the game...why oh why with 2 added mins on the clock we get a free kick inside their half and the ball ends up with Joe Hart..??
I really give up sometimes.

a lot of mh,s decisions are up for debate how come 1 man is right and 50.000 are wrong i give up going for a draw what a joke
