I normally get the train, but decided to get the official coach for this one. I don't really know how it works, but apparently it's meeting at the stadium at 12.15....? For a 5.30 kick off.....sounds a bit early to me! Could anyone who knows how the whole system works let me know if this is normal; i.e long stop offs etc...? Cheers

Well I'm not really a mechanic but it all works through a mixture of diesel and air I believe. This is compressed and ignited which then does some clever stuff to make the wheels go round. There's a driver who sits at the front and he uses his feet to control the accelerator and brakes. At the same time he uses his hands to move the steering wheel, which makes the coach go left and right. Otherwise it would come off the road at bends. But that's not important right now.

Hope that helps.

no spaces left, 2 poles just reserved the last two seats. shit bags some might say

Haha, I've already got my seats fortunately. I will be on the look out for out of hour police women, and people to slap when sleeping.

Yes it is normal Dancity19. When we played Scunthorpe in the cup I went on the official coach and we were there approx 2 hours before ko. It allows for stops and the police escort I guess plus just in case there are any major hold ups on the motorway.

Of course it could also be because some of the lads like to go for a drink, but don't tell them I said that will you?

I used to like go on this coach but I hated it.
It'll get you there nice and early, with a stop at a service station. Every time I've been on it it's been almost silent, apart from the noise of opening lunch boxes and the rustling of newspapers.
The bloke who's in charge made us put our crate of beer under the coach - we just wanted to get pissed and have a sing song.

On a similar note due to the Birmingham game being a night game I’m on one of these Official Coaches for this game (don’t want to risk missing the last train home and spending the night in Birmingham). For some daft reason when I got the coach tickets last week at the ticket office I forgot to ask a couple of questions that I hope someone can help me out with:

Where about does this coach usually park up at COMS?

Also can you leave your car at the ground? I was thinking is it near the club shop where you park up...

If any one can answer this id be grateful
