Official Everton v City Thread

Hugely encouraging stuff. Need to finish the job in the second half and that 7th spot doesnt look out of the question.

How is 14 goals this season a flop? He has also been an awesome provider.

And Elano, performing away also. Its all goooooooood!

hate to point out a negative on such a good half, but how is Hibbert (i think) getting so much free room out on the right wing? is it bridges poor positioning or what? its so bloody annoying, thanks god he cant cross!

Robinho looks up for this one. Should have had a penalty then perhaps should have done better on a shot from the edge of the area before hitting them on the break with a great finish. I have been very critical of him at times this season but on days like today he shows his class.

Everton haven't really threatened but that bloke with the big hair is always a threat and we're gash at set pieces so I expect Everton to score at some point. That said we look a threat on the break but we need De Jong and Kompany to get it forward more quickly. They are good at breaking up Everton's play but are usually far too negative with the ball and this can put us under pressure.

I was optimistic before the game but I am not going to get carried away. Everton look tired but they might wake up after half time. Alternatively they could tire further, in which case I'd put Petrov on to really stretch them.
