Talk sport saying our team is not versatile enough for Pep and Yaya is one of the less versatile players apparently thats why he was got rid of whilst Fernandinho and Fernando are more versatile and can play at CB like Pep likes some of his midfielder to do eg Javi Martinez. Neither has played at CB Yaya has and is better further forward than he has been playing so he is the more versatile. Also thats not why he got rid of him. Analysis seems rubbish right now on Pep etc
I think that with with all the hype "all the money" blah blah nothing but Champions League in his first year will keep the media at bay. Personally I'd agree that we should let him get on with it and enjoy the journey it's going to be funA question for fellow blues...
Would you be willing to be more patient with Pep regarding obtaining a new system and better results?
Or would you find yourself being overly expecting if this doesn't go his way immediately from the start?
I can see the media praying like the vulture scum they are and anything from a bad corner to a dodgy free kick will be double scrutinised, nevermind a bad result.
This may influence the fan base and place the desired pressure on Pep.... which I'm sure he's capable of handling but if us lot jump on his back, it may become a problem.
I'm willing to give the guy some time and I ain't expecting anything.
I'm open minded and willing to give a man with so much expertise the free run at City.
I can see too many people being giddy and expecting nothing but a UCL trophy in his first year
Nervously looking forward to seeing Hart try and do this kind of thing.
So does every where else.
Since about ten matches into his Barcelona days, teams have constantly thought to themselves that the best way to beat a Pep team is to park the bus, kick them out of the game then play the ball long over their heads for a counter. This is actually his biggest secret, he wins games before they kick off because everybody "knows" this is the way to play against his teams but don't seem to "know" that that is the exact image that he wants to give off and specifically works on this type of problem in training. It's a bit of a con really.
reading it now, interesting book. I can see him buying a defensive midfielder in the mould of Xabi Alonso from what I've read so far he regards his position as the most important in the team. All blues need to read Pep Confidential and then be fucking patient
The good times will come but it might take awhile
