the lads are doing well defence looks good . dejong has seen bridge gets no help from robbie and is going over to cover. dunne and micah look more solid. robbie looks like he can put a shift in, you would expect the scousers to have all the possesion we need to keep our concentration levels high and hopefully do them on the brake

Just watching the game on TV here in the states...we look fairly solid, only the 2 scary moments at the back early on. Oh what Stevie would give to have those 2 shots back too! The most frustrating thing about us today though is the long balls high to Robinho and Bellamy. Robinho, while not tackling hard, is working hard and tracking the full back and Ireland is all over the place. Bellamy reminds of a faster and more skillful Dickov. C'mon City, take it to them in the second half!

He's kept Kuyt quiet, which is his defensive job. The midfield is letting Arbeloa get down the flank, not Bridge.

benayoun looks world class when hes not

hes skinning him time and time again
for some reason bridge loves letting crosses into our box

Zabaleta is back to his shite form again, I really wanna see Weiss against Dossena. Dossena looks fucking horrible and begging out to get run at by Weiss, but Hughes won't dream of it so fuck thinking that, he'll bring Caicedo on sometime in the 2nd half and maybe Elano.

That Stevie chance was golden. he had the entire far half of the goal to aim at, im amazed he didnt bury it. Fair play to the lad, amazing diagonal ball and 70 yard run to get there though.

Robinho's composure is unreal, he delayed that pass when most would of tried to roll it into bellamy.

Wonder if the numpties will be out for him tonight.

robbie has had a very good half in my opinion. not too much going in attack then again the team hasnt had too many opportunities either and when he has been called upon has done well, especially when they had about 4 red shirts on him at the end there.

what has impressed me the most has been his defence. i dont know if it is the beers but it seems to me he is making tackles everywhere and hasnt backed down from a challenge yet as far as i have seen.

Well pointed out, its obvious he's had a talking to about his defensive duties after the Copenhagen game.

He doesnt need to be good in the tackle as long as he is there in front of bridge it stops them going down our left flank all the time.
