Official Liverpool Vs. manchester city thread.

That was unbearable for last 5 mins!
Have to say:
DeJong was a ROCK, tackling of the highest order and company was superb....most of them were. Proud of them,,,,,,shuts up all the fuck wit doom mongers especially todays shite of the world.

Dissapointed we didnt win, on 3 occasions up field, with a better final ball inbetwen their 2 cd's we could have won it, but nonetheless very impressive performance.
Next week could be interesting......fulham and wigan away at chelsea and arsenal, we play west ham, win it and we go 7th....a performance like that and we'll win and the season looks better....................i think.......................

Lets be honest. First half we were poor and got away with it. Second half came out fighting and did well until they got the equaliser. Stevie was great but ran out of steam around the hour mark when we saw Vince pushing forward to save stevies legs. MH should have taken Ireland off after their goal. We had no right wing today which was bad. Having said that, a point was a good result today and we might have had 3.

great result - we could just do with the barcodes doing the other dippers now to piss all of merseyside off. decent stream at espn.

I'd have taken a point before the game, but like on Thursday, I feel like we could have come away with the win.

Agreed, me too.

But when you look at the performance and can name three players who could have got MOTM for us that is more important.

Looked good in the second half. Thought De Jong put in his best showing for us today and Micah was much improved. I thought Kompany also did well when asked to push up into a more attacking role. Am happy with the point but we weren't too far away from taking all three.

great performance 2nd half the midfield were outstanding robi looked good aswell creating chances. dunne and onouha looked good together and richards much improved

All played well today especially Micah and De Jong , Beano looked class etc......
Should have won , good tactics but a flukey goal to concede , Ireland should have scored and Given makes another wondersave. Happy days!

I actually think we were superb in defence in that first half. Given didn't need to make a save that he wouldn't have described as comfortable.

Micah AGAIN let up when trying to shut down the cross that cost us all three points. He needs to run through the player.

VK and NDJ were MASSIVE today, although I was happy to see Phil Dowd used some common sense on the foul VK had immediately after getting the yellow! (Phew!)
