Official: Raheem Sterling Signs On 5 Year Deal

I've heard that all the Emergency Fire Fighting services from the surrounding areas to Miseryside are on high alert, with an increased chance of widespread infernos, candles and shell suits eh! Maybe it's just natural selection.

The Liverpool masters of spin in the media are going really heavy on this Sterling transfer incident, really heavy, in the papers and websites but also on TV with spin agents like Carragher and many others. And it won't end, they will continue to push it through up and into the upcoming season to get back on Sterling for rejecting the club. The media are ever so willing to oblige and click bait inorder to push and encourage the anti -city sentiment.

So it is up to folks here and fans everywhere to keep their mental strength about them and not be consumed by media smear lies.

This signing is absolutely immense and there is no negative at all. AT ALL. He is one of the best young players in Europe and he will be wearing our shirt next season and years to come. He has made a good decision to better himself and his career, he has come to a better club and will be a star and major player for us now and in the future. End of.

This , all day long... post of the thread, BB...

Do NOT buy the lies...

BBC report
Raheem Sterling: Manchester City signing ready to challenge

Raheem Sterling says he is relieved to have completed his protracted £49m move from Liverpool to Manchester City and is ready to consistently challenge for major honours.
The England winger, 20, believes that he will improve as a player at the Etihad after becoming his country's most expensive footballer ever.
"I'm just glad it's all over and done with and I can't wait," Sterling said.
"The more quality players around you, the more quality it brings out in you."

Sterling had been under contract at Liverpool until 2017 but turned down a £100,000-a-week deal to extend his five-year stay at Anfield.
Liverpool rejected a number of offers from City before agreeing to the move.
Sterling, who joined Liverpool from QPR in 2010, paid tribute to three Reds managers he has worked under, as well as agent Aidy Ward, who said in May that Sterling would not sign a new deal at Liverpool even if offered "£900,000 a week".

"The thing that excites me the most is the world-class squad we have and knowing we have a team that is capable of winning things year in, year out," Sterling said.
"I'd like to thank Rafa Benitez for taking me to Liverpool as a 15 year-old - that was a massive step for me and a new challenge. Also to Kenny Dalglish for showing such faith in me and putting me in at such a young age.
"I want to thank Brendan Rodgers for giving me a chance and an opportunity in the first team, and giving me a real chance to cement a place in the first team and show the world my talents.
"Finally, I'd also like to thank all the people around me - my mum and sisters, my management team and Aidy Ward for helping me focus and get where I am today."

I remember going to Maine road the days we played Liverpool expecting to lose. Roll on 30 years it is now their world cup final BHAAAaaa...!!

look forward to seeing him on a weekly basis next season. Another player who can create a buzz in atmosphere when he picks the ball up.
We still need to finish the window with improvements and I'm buzzing we're going all out for the best available.
For now though, Sterling is the perfect start.

Just watched the lads interview. . Shown on sky no less. .. and after all the negative press and shitstorm he had been through I thought he came out of it really well. Thanked all the right people. .. said the right things. Came across as a nice lad. ... maybe he's not going to be the nightmare people are expecting.

That is excellent !!

How about the 'Sway' as our new 'Poznan' ?
...we couldn't do the runnning round in a circle bit in the stands but we could certainly do the 'Sway' bit...

any suggestions for a chant to go with this??

I don't think they've got fleeced paying an extra 25% over his probable objective value when they are £billions deep. Paying £20-30m over might at least make them squirm. I think we could've got that little bit extra out of City. They really are that reckless.
