Official Transfer Update Thread Summer 2012

Kieran Djilali, Mustapha Dumbuya, Jon Harley, Brian Howard, Izale McLeod, Lee Williamson and Simon Eastwood all to Portsmouth on One-Month deals. Clubs wise all I know is that McLeod came from Barnet & Djilali came from Wimbledon.

That's a blast from the past, Pearce was meant to be tracking him when he was in charge of us.

Yep, January 2007, our main targets being Billy Sharp and McLeod. We signed Michael Ball & Emile Mpenza instead, signings that helped keep us up.

True and what was the name of that Italian Left back we had on trial but we binned near enough straight away?

Cocu? Legend has it that he turned up for his trial at Carrington with a cig in his mouth, Pearce binned him on the spot.

Philip Coco I believe. Wasn't a bad defender but injuries had ruined him by the time he came to us, a hazard waiting to happen had he signed.

No worries, I actually struggle to remember the Coco saga, it passed by quietly & quickly, the other 4 were the main names being mentioned.
