That's what I understood from a rather badly written article in the MEN [don't think the journo understood the ruling]. The 'one year season ticket' [presumably cheaper] is also to be scrapped, apparently.

Anyway, the comments were truly hilarious [and only matched by the Berbartov piece; 'Waste of money like Veron, etc...'].

I also got the impression that anyone failing to pay for a cup game [returned DD I presume] would have their season ticket 'terminated' [that was definitely the word used]. The conclusion from many Rags was that there would be many empty seats next season and that they would rather watch the game in the pub 'because the atmosphere was better'. You can't make them up.

However, I trust that ADUG are not taking any lessons from the Glaisers. Can't see it myself but you never know in the world of business.

A co-worker of mine changed his credit cards last year - which he uses to pay for his direct cup tickets (which he seldom uses) - but forgot to tell United's ticket office.

When their attempt to draw the usual payment failed the club sent him a nasty letter warning him that if it happened again he'd have his season ticket taken from him and he'd have to join the waiting list to get it back again.

Rags or not, it's a disgraceful way to be treated and, like you say, hopefully not a route that City will ever go down.

Much like plenty of City fans then.

I knew that someone would raise that but I don't think we're talking about the same scale or proportion, are we? And as you watch the matches in a bar 2,000 miles away, I am not sure you are entitled to judge others, my friend. Don't imagine you'll want to respond. Enjoy your night!

So I can no longer comment on the fact that cup attendances for the team I've supported for 29 years have been shite recently?

Well thanks for clearing that up for me, you patronising tosser.

Fuck em, as long as muppets keep turning up the prices will continue to increase! The opposite side of the coin is if they dont turn up the Glaziers might not make enough to service the debt and they might go into administration (fingers crossed), but im sure as long as one numpty gives up his ST another sheep is lead in to replace him/her!!!

I was joking! It must be beer time already in Dubai. Cheer yourself up and have a quick look at the Rag comments. They even moan about being £650m in debt. Please ask for extra irony with your next pint!

It's been a long day.

Can't be arsed to read it tbh. But while it may be amusing to see the rags get shit on in the short term, this rulling will have worrying implications for all football supporters in the long term. If one set of greedy, money-grabbing bastards can get away with it, you can bet your house on the fact that the rest of them will try it too.

Indeed. I apologise for any unintended offence. I have posted it as a form of warning of what could happen. We can all see how expectations have changed in the last eight months but I would hope that ADUG are more far-sighted than the Glaisers, who are in the process of destroying the Rags' support forever.
