Some really smart signings. Exactly what we should be looking to do every year from now on.
What, selling a tried and trusted player for 3m and replacing him with somebody not dissimilar for 20m +

i heard we got between 6 and 7 for de jong unless im mistaken

And Garcia seems to be £18m but he is trying to bend things to prove a point.

i personally am very happy with this window. i know everyone wanted a marquee signing and we did try for ddr and hazard, rvp was off the radar after tevez turned up to carrington loved up with us.

rodwell is a great signing imo who will end up better than nige in time if he stays injury free. the other signings pack out an excellent squad who are champions of england.

i for one am happy.........is everyone else ?
I'm happy but I am still waiting on the confirmation from the OS on whether we have signed Garcia and Nastasic the longer it takes the more nerves its making me.

Shifting someone on a rather high wage for his role, that does not have much of a footballing brain, who is aging, who won't sign a new contract for someone who we should trust on our scouting staff is an upgrade?

"not much of a footballing brain" ??

Just what kind of a guru are you?!

Lol, I think you know what I mean though. He did a very good job at a particular role but as far as versatility goes, he was never going to be Mancini's man. Is limited a better word?

I'm moderately satisfied with this window.

Negatives first: We didn't get a replacement for Yaya for Afcon, we didn't significantly improve the starting 11 at first glance, and the fee for Nige almost had me falling out of my chair. I don't think we improved our chances to win the CL.

BUT we significantly improved the squad. I think we will do much better in the FA Cup and Carling Cup, and we have more bodies to keep us fresh during the league campaign. Garcia could help us a lot and Maicon could be the bargain of the summer.

Overall a B-
No replacement for Yaya exists, and by being in the champions league for only the second time ever we will gain the experience needed to push on in it.

This transfer window.

The flapping reached epic proportions last night with the sale of Nige, but we are now really starting to see a Roberto Mancini squad after getting rid of a few and bringing in a few this window.

As long as we get Garcia tied up, as far as I can see we have come out of this window in better shape than we were before, a lot of the deadwood shifted, stronger, with more cover at the back and a bit more pace going forward.

All things considered, very happy with the way its panned out. Thoughts fellow blues?

i'm overjoyed with our signings, although the loss of nige will take some getting used to.

always knew our chairman and his team would come good.

Re: This transfer window.

Have to agree, we've certainly got a bit a pace on the flanks with Sinclair and Maicon, we have a ball playing midfielder who's tall and has presence (I like NDJ but he had his limitations especially as we dominate the ball a lot). Rodders will be very good if he stays fit. Don't know about Nasty, jury's out, but Savic wasn't up to it and I'm glad he's off, wonderful that RSC and Ade have gone. Feel a bit sorry for Boyata as I thought he could be good but I suppose he's one of the victims along with Weiss and Ned. My only worry is no cover for Komps as Toure isn't up to it I'm sure of that.
