Old City Scarf from around 1975-76

I remember 3 of those 4 and loved them but the one Summerbee is wearing is an abomination. I can't recall that one at all, what was it worn for? Cups or europe maybe?

I seem to remember that it was known as the 'Continental' kit. I had one when I was about 11 or 12.

I was just curious why we would have a Rangers like scarf, assume it was because of this kit. I love the sash kits, imho I would make this years white sash permanent, it would make the home shirt unique a bit like River Plate, a white shirt made instantly recognisable by the sash...

I lost one on the M6 when some idiot opened the car window (and another idiot forgot to tie it 'round the window strap).

We used to wear red and black scarfs in those days as well, back in the 70's. I had one and wore it with pride, tied around my wrist as was the fashion back then.

I bought a red & black 'University Student' vertical stripe scarf and wore it at Wembley in 1969. Not that I was at Uni, and neither was I a student:-). It was a great scarf and quite popular amongst Fellow Blues. I recall finding it stuck away in a drawer only a few years ago and it was still in good nick.
