I’m guessing ‘77?

it's a good call the mark 2 granada was released August 77 (3rd car from the right for the younger ones)
In 1978 My dad genuinely simultaneously bought a Granada (for him) a Cortina (for his brother) a Transit (for my older brother) and an Escort (for my gran and grandad, which they were still driving to Blackpool for weekend in 1990). All bought from Manchester Garages on Wilmslow Road. All bought in August and all T-reg, so definitely 1978. I was 8.

Even remember the reg on my dad’s car to this day: ANE 544 T

He will have paid readies for the lot as well!

He honestly used to pay mine and my brother’s school fees in readies.

Remember my dad describing the process to me once. He’d turn up, usually a couple of weeks after the fees were due, go to the school office where the school bursar would count the readies he’d presented out in front of him, and then she’d always thank him at the end.

She never blinked once he said.

Imagine that happening today?! Another fucking world.

i
can't remember the game I'd have been there how did you I'd the date ,well done by the way
wednesday game, paul power scored the goal. rare victory at home. last ones before that were against brighton in february and birmingham in january.
we'd won at the hawthorns in april and elland road in march. that was about it. pretty crap considering we were top on new years day.

it's a daily mirror pic so they are date-stamped.

cheapskates couldn't afford a colour roll of film i guess
