Thanks for that it has cheered me up. Went to every single game and just reminiscing game by game won, lost or drew they were magnificent days and times despite the relegation.
Some interesting facts on display there.
League cup quarter final. Our coach bricked too! Some interesting facts on display there.
I note Crewe brought almost double the away fans that Stoke City did to Maine road....
Also we went to forest,in the lower division,..and their home crowd was 23k
When we played them at Maine Rd,we had 31k
You can't get a ticket in notts now as an older supporter.....
That last day of the season fixture ....ominous....Stoke away.....the only time I've been bricked at an away ground.it was carnage.what a day !!
Edit- 1st time I got bricked was on the way to Everton on a supporters coach- not sure if that counts,as it wasn't at the ground....more..just off the East lancs rd ,coming into the town
87/88 season.
Great photo of David White!
Can’t work out who that other City player is tackling Steve Archibald with Kevin Bond? Nicky Reid?
That's the one. Lost 2nil to Everton. Paul Lake played up front,as Varadi iirc wasn't fully fit.League cup quarter final. Our coach bricked too!

That Blackpool game where we lost on Penalties was bloody awful. A long night (and a long season).

But, amazing camaraderie between the fans. Bizarrely, one of the happiest times to follow city!
Loved that season. Two great cup runs. In league cup the away win at Wolves was our first away win in over a calendar year. Think we beat both Watford and Forest too - both div 1 at the time. That's the one. Lost 2nil to Everton. Paul Lake played up front,as Varadi iirc wasn't fully fit.
With Lake in midfield, and Stewart and Varadi up front, we might have put up more of a fight..maybe...

Fucking hell what a season. We were absolute shite. Mullered away at County. Losing at home to Bury. Knew it was truly grim at Port Vale.
100% Wolves 2 legs lost 1-0 at MR won 2-0 at molynieuxBradford City.
Don’t even think Wolves were in our division that season.
