That's one step beyond.

I remember when the Kippax sang YNWA regularly. Quite a few other fans sang it as well back in the day. I also remember the toffee woman at Everton, and we sang that song quite a few times at Goodison.I'm sure you are right, but back in the day there was no "copyright" on footy songs, or shame related to pinching someone else's. After all, the Kippax did use to sing You'll Never Walk Alone.
The idea that songs are "reserved" for one team is a modern concept.
Talking of Everton reminds me of "You can stick your fucking toffees up your arse." sung at the girls who used to distribute toffees at Everton matches - at one time used to go round Maine Road for the "away" fixture of their team, hence the song.
We've nicked that one a couple of times. That's one step beyond.
Started up usually when we got a cornerI agree. Its actually the start of the Viking chant (from the film The Vikings - I've written about it in Manchester City Folklore) and later evolved into The Best Team In The Land and All the World. The old Ccccccciiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttyyyyyyyyy would go on for ages with the initial C being held for so long until it broke into the end bit. Dead easy chant and unique to us. Created by fans in 1976-77 season.
Hammers. 100%Over to fellow Blue Mooners.... Was it flick knives or hammers?
‘Harry Roberts’?What were the words to that one we used to sing when the coppers marched around the pitch ? 1980- 83 ish.
Keystone cops themeWasn’t it an old laurel and hardy theme or something. Ne na de na, ne na de na, na na na na.... or something like that.
Keystone cops theme
What? ‘Blue is the colour’ is Chelsea’s theme tune. It was a Big hit in the charts too. That's one step beyond.

you got me.... i genuinely thought you're a younger who wouldn't remember.I was kidding.. I said that it was "one step beyond as we've played it after spanking Chelsea a couple of times at home, much to their annoyance. :)
I remember it as Laurel and Hardy
That is what I always sang.We don't carry razors
We don't carry lead.etc
