Omar Berrada to the rags

Seeing things saying he had no role in any of the things we’re charged with ?

I guess we will need to go for someone at another football club that seems to be how these things work. Football admin seems different to other business but then again maybe there are more options by looking at people who work in the tech sector entertainment industry or other major corporations might help look to the future especially given the idea we are trying to be the Disney of football. I don’t know who would be an option. On the one hand football is small compared to big companies like google etc on the other hand it perhaps offers no profile

Quick update from Twitter and soon the mainstream media.

Was in charge of signing all our players.
Wasnt anywhere near any alleged wrongdoing.
Did score the winning goal in the UCL Final v Inter.
Wasn't anywhere near the no DM decision in UCL against Chelsea.
But does secretly manage the team instead of Pep.

If you think HRH and Khaldoon will be pleased to see Omar Berrada depart for United then you sir haven’t got a clue.

He was the most senior executive in CFG after Khaldoon and Ferran and was in line to become our group CEO after Ferran calls it a day.
Ferran Soriano is 56 years old. Even if he decides to retire age 66, 46 year old Berrada would still have 10 years to wait before he could succeed Soriano.

There's no suggestion he was in line to replace Ferran, as Soriano has not indicated he was considering stepping down anytime soon. Unless you know different?

We will replace him and it won't be with a cast off from Old Trafford
Why not? Thought that Arnold person was the best thing since erm the last best thing.

We should give the job to Masters!

Least the rags don’t have to wait now to see who we are linked with before swooping in ala Slabby, Sanchez and Fred the dumped red.

If those three are the holy trinity then Omar is the pope.

He was the person who Barcelona got very upset about us taking, which makes sense because he tripled their commercial revenue in 5 years in the early 00s.

No point in downplaying this, having your COO get poached by your main competitor is going to be a headache on all sorts of levels.
Of course it’s a headache but not insurmountable and has happened to many successful organisations. It’s almost the price of success. He will be replaced and City will motor on.
Only to we fans, would they be considered our biggest rivals, in football terms we’ve left them behind.
It is also is the clearest signal yet that the rag hierarchy expects our PL charges are going nowhere.

Maybe he's a double agent who we'll keep on our books while he masterminds the continued downfall of ushited. Only to reappear in his city shirt, laughing manically when they fall into the National League.........then again, maybe not.

It’s a good appointment for them, but let’s not get carried away. Omar Berrada isn’t going to bridge the gulf between the clubs any time soon.
Agreed, the major concern is that they're finally starting to look to bring decent people in, but it's a 5 year job at least to turn that tanker round
