Omar Berrada to the rags

Berrada will be forgotten at City in a few days. I’m sorry but all this media crap about his elite talents is nonsense. He might be good at his role - but he’s a second tier exec that Utd have taken a punt on.

The biggest mistake Utds board have made in the past is appointing the wrong coach and director of football.

Swap Pep and Txiki with ETH and Murtough and give a couple of tfr windows and they win the league and we finish 8th. All the other stuff is secondary.

There is no secret ingredient that only City execs know and Berrada won’t be bringing any magic knowledge that will change fortunes majorly for Utd until they get a decent DOF and head coach.

The Times are now basically the in house paper for Ratcliffe so anything they write about it can be immediately discounted

It’s frankly outrageous how long it takes to read. How come this takes so long when other threads with one page are read almost instantly.

The daft thing is, Berrada became a person of no relevance to us the second he agreed to jump ship for that bunch of twats.

Close the thread or stick it in the general football forum, filed under 'mercenary'.

If he was as good as his job as the media tell us why didn’t he join one of the top clubs in the world, he has dumped Gal Gadot for Bella Emberg

The risk is he gets rid of Fletcher and appoints someone who has a clue

Its not so unsurprising how this has been reported. Ahh “he’s a top class Cxx” “he had nothing to do with the charges as he wasn’t part of the Senior Managment team “

“He knows how to negotiate a deal” and repeat ad nausem

The fact is that that the Scum have replaced numerous staff in key positions, bought at inflated prices, sold/loaned out players at a loss plus have an infrastructure that is not fit for purpose.

Ok he has a “Vision” but that will take years if not decades to turn around

Where is Scruffy Jim getting his money from to make these improvements?

Sad to say that 125m doesn’t get you far nowadays.

I wonder if Omar will be at the derby on the 2nd of March at the Etihad. Now that will be awkward.

It’s hard to take the game seriously these days when a story like this becomes front and centre of the topic of discussion.
It should be just a footnote but due to the whole industry depending on fuel to keep the money rolling in this becomes something it really shouldn’t.
Bores the life out of me the off field shite that we talk about more than what we starting watching football for in the first place. The game. That’s all that ever mattered.
Times change and things evolve but think I’ll be swerving these topics in future.

I’m more interested in the shuffle internally, and who effectively replaces him. Might be an indicator of life post-Ferran.
Outsider to freshen thinks up? Or more likely internal succession ..
I wish they'd all fuck off, they've been nothing but trouble since they first stepped foot inside the door.
We don't need them anymore, we can look after ourselves now.....

I'm just glad that Sir Alex got to see them lift one last major trophy *wipes away tear*

That’s because until 12 hours ago 95% of blues had literally never heard of him, as he was a comparatively minor figure in our executive setup.

Whereas at the rags he’s a massive deal.

It’s a bit like if we sold Kalvin Philips to Oldham.
