Omar Marmoush

only issue with that is doesnt he play off the left, wouldnt be a fan of shifting savinho over to the right to accommodate him as that looks to be his best position
he's a powerful runner with a good cross and shot on him, really wouldn't be surprised if Pep does play him on the right

Desperate need for players right now, particularly defensive ones, so the first thing we do is look to secure a 7th left wing option for the summer. That couldn't describe our last few windows more perfectly.

Wouldnt be unhappy with him coming in but looks like a budget Musiala to me. I'd want to see us go all in for the real deal instead and if thats not an option then bring back Leroy on a free and stick the £60-80m into getting the absolute best in the business in other areas.
Leroy? Did you learn anything from the Gundo experiment,? You don't go back. Turkish teams are looking at Leroy these days..

You are complaining about Marmouah only ro suggest Leroy.

Jesus!

It's actually a spot on take, he's no better, at best, than what we have....and it's not a position we need. You sound extremely desperate ;)
What do we currently have? We never replaced Alvarez, We let Palmer slip, so what do really we have now? One attacker, an ageing Kdb, a Bernie that works just as hard as a pitbull but has mysteriously lost his flair. Can we rely on Doku or Savinho when we desperately need a goal?

Any goal scorer with a decent amount of assist / chances created and an above average football sense is always an improvement especially when we lost two players who possessed those qualities.

There's a reason why the dippers are firing on all cylinders. During the period we have gotten rid of Alvarez, Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Mahrez, They have signed up Gakpo, Nunez, Jota and have kept Salah. There used to be a time when we had 3 or 4 players with 15 goals each and about 10 assists across the front line. Signing a player like this would be the first step in returning to that multiple goal scorer team set up.

Transfermarkt has him down as playing 49 games at CF, with 8 games as second striker and 5 as a left winger for Frankfurt. I imagine Pep would be looking for him to play the role he had Alvarez playing when he played him and Haaland together.

Not your best work Ninj.

In fairness, Sané is significantly younger than Gundo, a player who has clearly entered the twilight of an admittedly glittering career. Sané, by contrast I would argue, has a number of seasons ahead of him at the highest level. Reported interest from Turkish clubs is hardly a reflection on Sané's calibre given that he'll be available on a free come June. Other far more attractive offers will undoubtedly be on the table as that date approaches. That's not to say I necessarily believe Sané would be a good fit for us just now, only that the risk isn't as high as you suggest. As for Marmoush, I'd take him in a heartbeat if a suitable fee could be negotiated. However, the chances of prising him away in the January window are remote at best. Otherwise, an attacking midfielder isn't where we desperately need to strengthen if dipping our toe into the market at this time.

The ideal Alvarez replacement, with more technical ability
