Always thought a front 3 of mido, Malbranque and Giannakopoulos would’ve caused Havoc. But just wasn’t to be
 
Would be surprised if we got him for £50 million in summer, never mind this window but would be a good addition. Might have a gentlemen's agreement with Frankfurt that he can go to a CL club if they stump up the cash (Daniel Levy, anyone?).
 
For those saying he may not be good enough.

If you look at the list for top G/A in the calendar year of 2024, he is 5th tied with Vini.

And I think he clearly passes the eye test, and drastically reduces the age of the attacking front 5.

We need to get him.

Both he and Jonathan David would complete the rebuild of the attack (David is also in the top 10 G/A in europe).

Not remotely comparable. Applying a blanket statement to everybody because one signing hasn't gone as well as expected is daft and you know it. Would we decline the opportunity to bring back Cole palmer because you don't go back?

Not complaining about Mamoush either, I literally said I wouldn't be unhappy with him. I simply said I want us to go after the very best and if we can't get them and have to look a few rungs down the ladder, I'd sooner sign somebody on a free transfer and add that money to pursuing top targets in other areas. I'm not saying sane over mamoush I'm saying Sane and £60-80m over Mamoush.
 
I presume if he signs, he’ll be starting. So where? Savinho is making left wing his own (being on the left seems to favour his style, as opposed to the right), Haaland is Haaland so right wing? Make Foden and Kev battle it out for the central position?

Or Foden starting with Kev used as an impact player?

He's the replacement for Alvarez, so how Pep used him is probably a good guide.

In the attacking 4 behind Haaland, would be interesting to see classical wingers wide, and players who can cut inside in the 2 spaces behind Haaland.

So something like:

Savio LW
Marmoush LAM
Foden/Bobb RAM
Doku RW
