On a positive note....

We're forth, and with a game in hand we defo have everything in our own hands still. Bad run of form at the moment but we've been a bit lucky with othe results as well. We'll beat Burnley and then hopefully give Liverpool a real run for their money.

Positives: Given, Lescott, Bridge, SWP & Tevez. Also, we didn't lose and should have Toure, Ade & Robbie back soon. We're also in the top four folks, so lets not go overboard with the dramatics eh?

I must have been watching a different game, SWP was absolute dog shit........AGAIN! He puts in the same performance week in week out. Cant beat a man. Gets played inside the full back and cant produce a final ball. Works hard but as a right winger I expect him to cause problems in the oppositions half rather than being cover for our right back!

SWP needs to be dropped as a matter of urgency!

Great post, spot on mate. Personally I can't wait for Robinho to come back, I think alot of people have forgotten just how good he is.

I can't agree that SWP was good today. He tried hard enough but could only manage a string of hopeless crosses and wasted opportunities, especially in the second half.

frustrating month or so. we should be out of sight of Liverpool. but there are lots of positives

top 4 with a game in hand, a 1/4 of the season in
only one defeat in 14 games
robinho still to come back
just two months before the window opens again

I'm just glad somebody posted something positive! I've read through some of the other threads on the forum & can't even be arsed to post as they are so negative.

The fact is we're in 4th place & a work in progress, the team needs the time to gel, Hughes needs the time to work out who plays, when & where they will play.

On paper we should have won today but also on paper Chelsea should have beat Wigan, the rags should have beat Burnley & the dippers should have beat Fulham but these things don't always go to plan.

I admit we have failed to take advantage of other results over the last 2 weekends & am glad that next weekend we will play without the knowledge of where we could be if we win & hopefully we will start to forget those other results & just play each game to win each game.
