Gave us some huge moments and a man for the big occassion who took down the banner. For a player described by Merson as an 'ok holding midfielder who doesnt score or create goals' when he signed, he did pretty well. Sad off field/agent issues tarnish his legacy.

A good 3-1 win IIRC, I was sat near some Japanese tourists ( until I managed to move at ht) who really looked baffled at the constant refrains of the Yaya tune!

He was great for us, but legend sadly tarnished with a lack of a Victoria Sponge.....

He wasn’t an “ok” midfielder. He was a monster for us. Sadly he’ll never get the accolades he deserves

great player for us, big game player for us and played a huge part in all the trophies we won whilst he was here but never performed in europe for us IMO

A magnificent footballer.

Without the uneccessary off field nonsense he'd probably be working with the club and have a statue.

A magnificent footballer.
