"One banana, two banana, three banana, four...."

i think that sums up perfectly what it was like from a City fan perspective.
The "bias" of the media, strange ref decisions, were handled perfectly, so was the balance ,not easy when the final minutes were so sensational and could easily have been given too much attention
Really good blog

An excellent article....well done Chris. I would have gone a little bit further and said it was 5 games against the rags not 4 that has changed City forever. The 5th being the semi final at Wembley only a few months before. That game proved that we were no longer in their intimidating shadow,,,,they knew it and we knew it. CTID.

Take a bow! Best one I've read and brings back some memories of the season past. Footballl itself can fuck right off.

"One banana, two banana, three banana, four...."

A very enjoyable read. I'd forgotten Mark Bright's prediction.

absolutley fantastic read that captures the emotion of a roller coaster season

Must say that was a cracking read and very interesting too..... agree that the derby defeat in F.A.Cup was a massive turning point for us... 3 down and almost getting a draw made the rags shit scared of coming here for league game

Brilliant post, also got me singing.

Ciiiiiity, we're on the piss again Ciiiiiity, we're on the piss again Ciiiiity, we're on the piss again one banana two banana three banana four..

Superb piece.

But one picky point... De Gea didn't fumble the ball in the FA cup game, Lindegaard was in goals that day.

Still excellent though.

Good spot. My bad.

Also, in April we sang The Invisible Man at half time, not Blue Moon.

But it still felt fkn brilliant.
