The locals in Swaledale used to eat the maggots which grew on the eponymous cheese.admittedly the premise of this thread is a little far-fetched.
and yet still, i genuinely cannot think of a scenario whereby there'll be a fridge on a desert island, haha...
you've chosen a really nice blue cheese, why feel the need to cool it?
it's already mouldy, after all.
(besides which, putting cheese in a refrigerated state lessens its taste).
cheese has been around for thousands of years. fridges are but recent.
my grandfather used to keep a whole stilton on the sideboard, with no covering over it.
honestly, he would wait until there were a few maggots in the top of it.
naturally, he then removed them, but only upon their appearance was the cheese deemed ready and we were allowed to begin tucking in with our enormous spoons.
as to your booze,
there may well be a huge cascading waterfall or summat that provides some sort of cooling possibility but there are no guarantees.
laphroaig it all the way, shipmate!
On the Smiths theme I know the Marine on the front of the album meat is murder, he's offered me some signed copies of it, do you think as a smiths fan it would be an interest ?I take it there is a corkscrew on board?
Cabot brand of jalapeño cheese
Any wine going if it is red. Not fussy.
