One for all the Everton fans on here...

Loads of players have been sent off for reckless challenges .

Even Terry , who you lads have been talking about , was sent off against Everton .

Nobody claimed that Thatcher or Ball were though.

Listen. I'll try again. Yes Stevo is a committed player who sometimes gets carried away. But that's on the pitch. Not everyone behaves the same off the pitch as they do on it. Take the Charlton brothers. Bobby had a reputation for being a gentleman on the pitch but, by all accounts, is a miserable, tight bar-steward off it, whereas Jackie was renowned for being a hardnut but is a lovely, generous chap off it.

People like you would love the world to be totally black and white. I've got news for you fella - it ain't.

I understand you're sticking up for you're pal but you've seen him leave his knee in on Cech - could have killed him.
His "tackle" on Gelson on the side on the knee - leg breaker, career ender.

No one is defending Thatcher or Ball, so i don't see why you keep relying on that.

He's fucking filth and if he did do that shit with Ireland then i hope he believes in Karma; on the football pitch he comes acorss as absolute scum.

Didn't hear anyone on here calling Thatcher "absolute scum" after the Mendes assault. And Ball was praised for stamping on a fellow professional. Hypocrites.

Hunt is a dirty player, and that is the end of the matter. The fact that he may be a nice bloke off the pitch is of no relevance whatsoever; nor is the fact that City have had dirty players in the past - what team hasn't?

Sorry Giles, but for me, there's no hypocrisy here - just you trying to defend the indefensible*. Hunt is dirty. So was Thatcher, so was Ball (in the latter case, it was more usually tactical fouling - the Ronaldo stamp was an exception).

*in relative terms. I don't think Hunt is so bad that he should be driven out of the game, or anything. He's only the latest in a line of footballers who foul.

Quite outstanding that you're trying to turn this into some social commentary, there is no grey area with challenges like the ones he makes, they're disgusting. I understand he's your mate and all and he may well be a cracking guy off the pitch but on it he's dirty beyond belief and could've bloody killed someone!
