im not really sure why some of you are coming to this conclusion he was one of real madrids main players in the centre for the past 2 seasons and by all accounts has played very well for real madrid.
he has to compete with the likes of alonso and if you want an opinion of a real madrid fan then it will be very biased when they compare him to the likes of kaka,ronaldo,alonso!
he is a no nonsense central midfielder just what we need atm and i will be a little pissed that we missed out on him since losing mcdonald to the permit bollocks.

ok, I'm still being sarcastic. maybe I should stop, but it seems pitiable that we get so wound up about blooming transfers. truth be told part of me can't wait for us to stop signing players and looking for the sheiks money to make us happy.

as I understand it, 'special dispensation' was designed to allow deals to be completed when the agreement between the clubs and player was made before the window, but something, anything, got in the way of the paperwork being completed. obviously you have to be able to tie it up pretty sharp. in this case it seems to come down to whether the FA accept that a deal was 100% agreed even tho the sheik had not given the sign off for the money. I wouldn't like to bet which way this will go, if it's true we have made the application.

I think it is midnight local time when it shuts in Spain but after 5 we can only make transfers out not in from England into countries where the window is still open - that is what I think, but there's a lot cleverer people than me on here I must add

Nah, they were all messing about. Arshavin was in London on the deadline day as I remember Swanson had a chubby on as Arshavin walked past him into and out of a hotel. They had it on a loop for about 10 hours.
