One song that genuinely changed your life

I can remember the day as though it happened yesterday. I was being influenced by mates at school to get into Madness and other similar bands whom I've never really liked then or since and I met a lad near where I lived who was walking around with an embroidered denim jacket with bands like Black Sabbath and Rush emblazoned across the back and a couple of us went back to his house where the first thing we listened to was Motorhead's the Golden Years Ep and it was the first time I really sat up and took notice of music. But the following Rainbow Long Live Rock N' Roll, Rush Hemispheres/ A Farewell to Kings, Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and The Scorpions Lovedrive album with its classic album cover (see below) just blew me away. I suppose if I had to nail it to one track that afternoon it was The Scorpions 'Loving You Sunday Morning' that did it. Thats the one that remained instantly recognisable and hooked me.

It changed my life around and after we left school all my thoughts were about City and heavy Rock and it introduced me to a whole new scene, fashion (although some might say not lol), friends, nightclubs, frequented pubs, gigs, girlfriends and my wife all came through getting into Metal that Summer afternoon. I even put down my love for burning incense sticks to that afternoon as my mate was doing the same thing whilst we listened to his music and the image/moment was powerful enough to stay with me for life.
