Online/Distant Learning

Am looking to do a course to learn PHP

Has anyone used any reputable sites online?

I know there are loads of free tutorials (recommendations gratefully received) but with a course I'm almost forced to complete because of the commitment.

Any advice?

Just go to any school or college, loads do it, and instead of sitting in the front row, because everyone knows you learn most at the front, close learning IIRC, sit on the other side of the road or possibly down the end of the playground with a decent view of the board through a window. Now add binoculars et voila 'Distant learning.'

Go to class and whenever you are asked for your opinion look the other way sigh and say 'meh'. Then you could be a 'distant learner.'

I am thinking of doing some further study via distance learning. Has anyone done it before?

In reply to the OP, is PHP a programming language? Personally I think you would be wasting your cash paying for something like that. There are enough resources available online for you to be able to pick it up. I don't understand what you would actually be paying for if it is distance learning.

The problem with that is that you end up just copying and pasting code without fully understanding it.
