No you are saying we would get them if we went for them.
Although a lot of players would want to sign for us you can assume - you can't say if we put a bid in for Bale he would want to leave.
The same as how we would hope Kompany would stay if a bid from Barca came in. I'm sure Barca are arrogant enough to think anyone they want they get - but there are (hopefully) a few players out there who would be loyal.
