I work with someone who isn't a City fan, isn't much of a football fan really, but his two young daughters are. Go to maybe one men's cup matches every season, but about half of the women's games. It's a real eye opener for how the club is building different pockets of support all over the city.Enjoyed the parade tonight. It was good to see the really varied range of support we have. Of course there was the usual old geezer, like myself, from Maine Road. But apart from the late teen, early twenties, fans, I noticed lots of young families whose parents didn’t particularly look like football fans. There’s clearly a big swell of support in Manchester. The future is blue.
Was a joy to see. In front of me as we were leaving there was an Eastern European lady who had two little mixed race sons the younger of whom could only have been about two or three and as he toddled along in his City shirt, cute as a button he was trying to sing championes ole ole ole in his little voice - absolutely heartwarming to watch. The next generation are all lined up.Enjoyed the parade tonight. It was good to see the really varied range of support we have. Of course there was the usual old geezer, like myself, from Maine Road. Proud to call Nat a friend. She's wonderful.Got to love Natalie Pike, remember her first being interviewed about City years ago, proper bitter and twisted City fan, like the rest of us, on tunnel cam when Balotelli scored that last minute pen against Spuds she was running around hugging people, proper blue and very bright.
Thank you so much mate.Never met him but you can tell he’s just a sound, level headed City fan. Provided many of us on bluemoon with reports from the EDS football over the years, which prospects we need to keep an eye on. Some people just hate for absolutely no reason and it’s weird.
Big love mate xMet him and his wife while at work - both absolutely lovely, down to earth and happy to chat to fellow blues. To be honest, I couldn't be happier for him - literally made his love of City into a career.
Great Post from you sir, hope you are well and things are good.Top parade! Got to spend it with my fiancé, my dad, brother and best mate.
Doesn’t get much better.
Also: Grealish worth the £100 million just for how much he’s loving the day. Never seen so much unbridled joy from someone. He’s absolutely bladdered and it’s hilarious!
