Opposition view: West Ham

Fair minded, sensible opposition fans are no fun.

Where's the controversy?
 
Mugged us in the Etihad game they at most only deserved a point from due to 2 sloppy goals conceded defensively, Joe and Manga for the first from Moses and a complete clusterfuck defensively from a corner for the second. Battered them 2nd half and should have won it but West Ham defended stoically and held on. Slaven Bilic was almost apologetic at the final whistle.
I imagine if I lived in London id support West Ham they are a similar club to us with similar fan bases as has been said many times I wish them luck this year (not at our expense obviously) and expect them to finish top 6 maybe - just! To do that they'll have to edge out 1 or more of Utd, Liverpool + Chelsea but they are looking good. They look a bit susceptible with a couple of injuries to key players (who isnt?), so if Payet, Lanzini and Valencia stay fit they have great prospects. If we can't win the Cup I hope they do it would be a fantastic achievement.
 
I've a lot of time for West Ham fans. Proper fans and not dissimilar to us in a lot of ways.
 
One or two seem to forget that West Ham had one of the nastiest firms in the country at one point. There's still a smell of aggression in the air at matches and in the area when they're home.

I think the feeling is mutual, Been in the away end a few times (inc the 6-0) and always a bit of respect between the two fans. Was there when you won title and fans on the pitch came over and clapped us.

Sean is a top guy too. Spoke to him a few times now and has links to the club such as the owners, so very reliable.

Always had respect for you as fans and a club especially when we got relegated in the 80s at your place and you showed your class and wished us all the best (ended up going on a pub crawl with some of your fans ,we had a great time considering ), always try and play attractive football , wish you all the best for the future and your impending move , although I will miss upton park
