Cheers pal. Think that it that day sorted. Michael watches the match and Ann Marie goes shopping in ASDA. Bargain

I'll be in Town buying the shirt that day, so may very well have a walk up to watch the game.

***Orlando Pirates game Live at COMS *** - A Suggestion

Ok, I know the game is being beamed back to the East Stand Car park.

How about someone well connected on here (Ric?) explaining there's approximately 50 of us turning up for a game at Platt Lane, earlier that day.

See if they can accommodate us in one of the corporate suites/City Social, as we'll all be really thirsty after running about.

They were running the 1860 & Mancunian suites at a loss for the Uefa games. A nominal entry charge of £5 should do it. They'll sell plenty of beer, everyones happy.

Comments please.

The costs involved in getting the staff in for the day would probably not make it viable for the club.

The fun begins from 9am, when the revamped CityStore opens its doors and the new City home shirt goes on sale for the first time. There’ll also be bags of entertainment outside the ground, with balloon modellers, face painters, the MCFC Big Band and more.
Moonchester and Moonbeam will also drop in, and we’ll be firing up a bar-b-q for lunch. You can watch the match on the big screen in the compound outside the East Stand, with kick off from Polokwane at 2.00pm UK time.

By the sounds of things the club are going to make a big deal of the day.
I assume the City Social (CS) will be open that day anyway.

I know the club see the City Social (CS) as an underused facility. Let's put our idea forward and see what the response is. Numbers could be swelled by inviting the current users of the CS on matchdays (official supporters club members).
4/5 barstaff and a bit of security on the door, can't cost too much for an afternoon.
