Raleigh Burner close thread.
Posh ****, my grifter would paste them fancy la de da look at me I'm loaded spinnersRaleigh Burner close thread.
Cheers mate, your bike sounds like triggers brush!!I'm rather old school, but here are my tips based on 30 odd years of commuting with a dabble at time trialling.
You need at at least two bikes (But ideally you need n+1 according to velominati rule #12).
One bike is for bad weather and must have mudguards
Frame material....Steel is Real.
Rim brakes are adequate.
At least 3 lights at the front and back at night.
Carry at least 3 spare inner tubes and 1 spare pump.
My bikes are at least 25 years old and still in regularly use after over 100,000 miles. I've changed the tyres and chains a few times though! Plus a few other bits and bobs.
Ribble bike with shimano 105 group set and mavic wheels quite decent.
And no to the ebike. Single speed or fixed is best for flattish commuting.
Ha. Yes Trigger's brush.Cheers mate, your bike sounds like triggers brush!!
Yeh think the e bike might get a bit too pricey, not hearing good things about the Halfords/ boardman one.
It's looking like the ribble one, no chance of two, I've just sold my trusty old cube mountain bike to make room, no room in our house according to the Mrs who has the house crammed to the rafters with random useless shit!!!
Yep that's the plan, add another string to the bow with the fitness.Ha. Yes Trigger's brush.
You're too fit for the ebike. Instead of running suffer on the bike. You'll love it.
Fortunately these daysI have a garage which is full of bikes and enough bits to make another bike or too!. When we lived in a terraced house I built a shed to house my USEFUL bike shit.
I've actually got a cube and not a Raleigh burner < any more > cube new pedals have got a bottle opener. Them German's know how to make pedalsCheers mate, your bike sounds like triggers brush!!

Tempted to stick with a cube, they are decent, had cube analog disc for over 10 years and no issues with it, my two kids have cube bikes as well(not they use them, their mam has them into daft scooters)I've actually got a cube and not a Raleigh burner < any more > cube new pedals have got a bottle opener. Aye buy a second hand car, pay out a fortune in fuel, tax, insurance and parking every week, whilst sitting in traffic anywhere you go and destroying the planet for the sake of a 2 mile trip round the corner. I shall give it a dose of thinkinSeriously people pay 2k for a bike, like a Chopper or a Raleigh? I'd get a half decent second car for that
All Decathlon bikes are made in China. As are 99% of all road frames. For people on a budget Decathlon bikes B'twin are great value..never do Halfords. They are a French company I believe hence the good experienced manufacturer (think tour de France etc)
