Re: Hughes confirms Bridge fee agreed

He will join Man City for 12 million pounds and he will be the highest earning fullback in the world, but im not sure how much he would get.

I hate when managers call players 'the boy' or 'the lad'.
yeah it really annoys me that as well.another thing that annoys me is when they say 'hes been a good servant to the club'.said it about gerrard the other day.servant who gets over 100,000 pounds a week!

Hughes confirms Bridge fee agreed

Mark Hughes has confirmed that Manchester City and Chelsea have agreed a fee for the transfer of left back Wayne Bridge.

Speaking at the pre Nottingham Forest press conference this afternoon, Hughes revealed: "My understanding is the clubs have agreed a fee.

"We need to speak to the boy and try to agree personal terms.

"If we can do that hopefully Wayne will be a Manchester City player, that's the aim.

"Wayne will probably travel to Manchester this evening and hopefully negotiations will go well and he can have a medical tomorrow.

"Hopefully if the deal can be concluded I’ll be absolutely delighted to welcome him to Manchester City."

You'd have to think this is a nailed on cert.

The personal terms could still go wrong or something in the medical could go wrong yet.

Nothing is 100% until he is on the official website holding a Manchester City shirt.

For sure.

But the usual hierachy goes Sun > Mirror > Sky Sports 'Understands' > BBC > Official site > Playing keepy-uppy at COMS.
