OS REWIND- Blackburn v City 2000

I watched it on TV. I am sure the camera caught the ref puffing his cheeks out and shakeing his head when they hit the post for the 4th or 5th time. Made me chuckle.

In many respects I enjoyed this game more then the Gillingham one.

It was less important to the club, but it felt less like CPR on a dying corpse and more like we were back where we belonged rather than back where we didn't belong!!

I've been proud of City fans and the atmosphere they generate on more times than I care to remember, including last weekend, but there was something magic about the fans that day that I will never forget.

For that reason this game, more than any other, makes me smile every time I think about it.

A truly fantastic day of football not too dissimilar to last week. Probably the best game I had been to until the semi last week, here's hoping the final will beat both of them.

what a day that was; on the early train with 8 coke bottles full of brandy and coke, walked 3 miles to find a pub that was open and unbelievably they had a goat in the garden, tried to buy it for £100 as I was that pissed I really thought I would get it into the ground (thank god the landlord wouldnt sell it). Utterly brilliant day, so many BLUES in the ground. On that video I will never forget the ref (can't remember his name though!) shaking his head in disbelief when inbred rovers hit the woodworl for the fourth time, it was that kind of a day. The other brilliant ones there for me were the 3-2 win under Brian Horton (if I am not mistaken we were fighting relegation and they went on to win the league), and last season was a great day too.
