Yep, although we weren't a top flight team at the time it was still a crap performance.

Brentford have played well though.

To use the modern parlance; he played for/earned the penalty. The 'keeper made it an easy decision for the ref, rushing out like that and not getting the ball. How much of the Brentford player he got is debatable.
